Hi! My name is Raia, I’m a rising senior at Vassar College and am studying Cognitive Science. I’ve had a lot of experience working with kids of all ages in an educational setting and have loved all of it. I worked in the nursery at my high school and taught middle schoolers and high schoolers math, cooking, and art for three summers in a row with the Chester Children’s Chorus. I now work at the Elmwood Park Zoo on programs around animal conservation and appreciation geared towards younger audiences and spend most of my day connecting with kids and their families. I always have the best time with kids working on art projects, running around outside, playing games, cooking, and chatting about favorite movies or songs. I think kids bring out the best side in everyone, and as a kid who grew up with working parents I would love to be able to help out families in the area and provide the same amazing experience I had with babysitters growing up that always matched my sense of creativity and adventure!
