I love babysitting because it connects with children in their growing years by ensuring they progress in an enabling environment. I love the company of children in creative activities that all help bring out the personality of the child. It really feels great being a positive influence in the children’s lives.

With more than four years of direct experience with children in working environments such as babysitting, tutoring, and volunteering with various local youth programs, I have been able to understand their needs and interests. That hands-on experience helped me create fun and educational experiences.

I have very good communication and problem-solving skills, which is a major requirement in working with children. The eclectic nature of my biology and computer science backgrounds is particularly relevant now that I am heading into pediatric neuroscience.
