Hello! My name is Tevleen, I am 20-years-old and a Cognitive Science and Information Technology double major at Rutgers University- New Brunswick. I grew up surrounding by a large extended family, and by the time I was fourteen I was babysitting many of my younger cousins. I have some experience babysitting in high school beyond just my family, but my child care experience really shines with my volunteer work. I worked with children in the New Brunswick community for 4 months, mentoring them with various forms of art in a day-camp. Additionally, I was also a lifeguard and child swim instructor for two years. I have CPR certification, and have acquired necessary tactics to ensure child safety while making sure they are having fun in the process of following directions and learning. I would love to babysit again because it’s something I know I can do well. I love connecting with other people, whether that be adults or children. I can read them to know what they need and can effectively affirm boundaries while making sure that fun is not being subtracted from.
