My name is Missy, I’m 22 years old from the UK and I have been living in westchester for just over a year now :)

From a young age caring for people has always been my passion. From the age of 15 I first started to work with a young boy who was autistic and to this day I still care for him. I have worked in many industries including the service industry, admin and office work yet I always go back to the care industry and I am proud to say I have worked for the National Health Service during our COVID-19 Pandemic.

Not only do I have personal experience with children in my home setting such as helping my brothers grow into the young men they are becoming today, I also have professional and unprofessional work experience. In 2016 I volunteered on two separate occasions at my local primary school working firstly with young children 3-5 year olds and secondly with 8-10 year olds. Working in a primary school allowed me to grow and develop my organisational skills, my vocabulary and the best way to approach difficult situations with children but most importantly it taught me how to build a strong bond with children, earn their trust and to have fun!

Babysitting has always been one of my favourite things to do on a weekend (lame I know) I enjoy babysitting as I feel you are fully responsible for the children but also have that balance and boundary between knowing the parents choice comes first. At the end of the day what parents ask of me will be done. Above all the most important thing about me and my core values is my heart, I am a deeply caring person, a kind and loving soul and that has always been the case. Aside from my kind and caring nature, I have worked since the age of 13 and I am aware that hard work is expected and I will always strive for excellence, I understand how serious choosing the right childcare is and I am aware of what great responsibility I will hold.
