Hi! My name is Sarah and I am a recent graduate from New York University. This past year, I worked as a substitute teacher in the South Bronx. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of not just teaching, but truly connecting with my students. As a Black woman, I was able to form deep connections with black and brown students from a variety of backgrounds. Every day, I brought not just knowledge, but empathy and encouragement into each classroom. Creating a comfortable and empathetic environment for ALL children has been my biggest strength. I want to continue to help young children become intellectually curious, kind, and adventures of the world. I had the best childhood, full of fun and learning, and I would love to help other families facilitate this fun for their children!
