Hello! My name is Abby and I am a rising senior pre-law student at Indiana University. I do part-time volunteer work with a non-profit that brings me to Manhattan during the summer time, which is where I am looking to babysit. Throughout high school, I was an English and History tutor for elementary and middle school aged children, which is where I learned that I love working with children and helping them grow! During the school year, I teach in a preschool classroom with children that are three and four years old, however I have also been in the infant classrooms here and there and have experience with children from six months of age and beyond. My training and certifications include being I-LEAD certified and CPR (including infant CPR) and First Aid certified through the Red Cross. Although I’ve always been eager to pursue a career as an attorney, my work with children and various child-developmental classes that I’ve taken while I’ve been in college has shown me that I want to keep working with children as there’s something so special about seeing a child grow up and learn in a safe and happy environment. So, I wish to continue working in childcare part-time as I continue my studies until I become an attorney that specializes in working with children in vulnerable circumstances. In my free time, I love to read, I’m very big into yoga, and I enjoy going on long walks with my dog, Rocco. I look forward to working with you!
