Hi! I’m Ava, I’m almost 19 years old and I’m freshman at The New School, but I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I have been babysitting since I was old enough for people to trust me with their kids. I’ve babysat for over 15 different families in the past 5 years, with kids ranging from infants to 10 years old.
Since I started babysitting, I found that spending time with kids was not just a responsibility but a genuine pleasure. I genuinely enjoy the things they like to do, and I feel my childlike joy come back when I’m around them. I’ve also noticed that I’m good at making even the shyest kids open up around me! My goal is always for the kids to be able to say they had fun with me. I’m a creative person, so I love finding new ways to keep kids entertained. From my past jobs, I’ve gained so much valuable experience in understanding and meeting the unique needs of each child.
Additionally, I value the child’s safety above all else. I have been trained in CPR, and taken two babysitting courses: one for infants and one for older children.
I loved babysitting back home, and I can’t wait to make new connections with kids in the city!
