My name is Channelle, I am 24 years old, and I’m a current doctoral student studying English & Comparative Literature at Columbia University. I’ve lived in the Upper West Side for almost a year now but prior to moving here for my program, I completed my Master’s in Creative Writing abroad in Scotland and my Bachelor of Arts in English & History at Emory University in Atlanta. While in Atlanta, I worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at several K-12 institutions, including a daycare where I primarily provided care and supervision for toddlers aged 1 – 3 years old. I was also a private babysitter. Growing up, I was the oldest of five in a single parent household and, as such, have extensive experience with caring for and supervising children in all stages, including those with autism and other developmental disabilities.

At my core, I am an empathetic person. I believe children are more than our futurethey’re also our now, and we gain when so much when we treat them like the little people they are, trusting and believing in them as individuals who just need a warm, guiding hand as they grow. I understand the aches of securing childcare and I seek to provide you the best services I can, not just for your life’s convenience but for your baby! They deserve it!
