Hi – My name is Deja and I’m currently a full-time Public Relations Coordinator at an entertainment agency. I am offering part-time early morning child care and household services!

Before moving to New York City, I attended the University of Iowa where I studied Journalism and worked part-time at a daycare overlooking kids ages 6-weeks to 5-years-old. Truthfully, it was not until after graduation that I realized how much I cherish aiding children in their pivotal time of growth. This is an opportunity for me to return to something I love!

My experience at the daycare also opened doors for occasional babysitting jobs on the weekends. I love being a babysitter and have been watching after kids since I became a big sister in 2001 and again in 2005.

Listed below are just a few of skills I acquired working in childcare:
- Supervised and monitored safety of children
-Helped children develop routines around physical activity, hygiene and rest
-Built an enriching environment for children to thrive and develop at their respective paces
-Develop friendly, communicative relationships with parents and other staff

Additionally, I am capable of working as a household assistant and can cook, clean, and run errands.

Although I have no previous experience with pets, I am comfortable with both cats and dogs.
