My name is Hana Smith, and I have always had a passion for working with children. Growing up in Tokyo, Japan, I had an amazing childhood filled with love and joy, and I strive to bring that same happiness to the children I work with. I began babysitting and tutoring for several years before earning my degree in Childhood and Special Education from NYU, followed by a master’s degree in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages, also from NYU.

My professional journey started as a second grade special education teacher in Brooklyn, where I developed a deep understanding of diverse learning needs. Currently, I work in higher education, but my love for working with children remains strong, and I continue to babysit and tutor. I believe childhood should be about funfun in education and fun in daily life. I bring this philosophy into my babysitting and tutoring, ensuring that each child feels safe, loved, and excited to learn.

What sets me apart is my commitment to creating a nurturing and engaging environment. I am fluent in Japanese and French, and I enjoy incorporating cultural appreciation into my interactions, helping children broaden their horizons and appreciate diversity. It is of utmost importance to me that every child feels valued and supported, and I work hard to make their educational and home life as joyful and fulfilling as possible.
