My name is Heidi, and I’m currently a student at NYU. My journey in caregiving began at Mont Lawn City Camp, a program established by the Bowery Mission. Starting as a participant at the age of 5, I transitioned into a volunteer role at 17, igniting a passion for helping kids and organizing engaging events for them. I specialized in working with children aged 8 and above, and alongside volunteering, I’ve been actively babysitting, particularly for my 4-year-old nephew whom I’ve cared for since birth.

Patience is a cornerstone of my caregiving approach. While working with children presents its challenges, I view them as opportunities for growth and improvement. I’m known for my vibrant energy and love for creating both fun and educational activities that foster learning. Being around children brings me immense joy, and I’m committed to continuously enhancing my skills as a caregiver.
