Write a messageHi! My name is Jeannie Correa and I am currently a freshman at the Macaulay Honors college at Hunter College pursuing a career in psychology and dance. I began working with toddlers in middle school as a teachers assistant at my dance studio and immediately knew I wanted to continue working with children. I continued working as a teacher assistant at my dance studio and began training to be a main instructor of 2023. I currently work as an instructor for ages 5-6 and 10-12 teaching tap, ballet, hip hop and reggaeton. From 2021-2023 I volunteered through the nonprofit organization Rotary Youth Leadership Association District 7255 as a mentor to high school students from Brooklyn, Long Island and Queens (RYLA 7255). I currently am a mentor to middle school students at The Young Womens Leadership School of Astoria through the non-profit Latinas on the Verge of Excellence (LOVE). My experience working with toddlers and adolescents have taught me so many things about myself and the importance of nurturing them. I also am the middle child of four children and use to being in large family settings making me the perfect candidate for any type of family dynamic. As a caretaker my number one priority is creating a safe, accepting and comfortable environment for the familys I work for.
