As the oldest sister of four, taking care of people younger than me has been embedded into my lifestyle for as long as I can recall. Tending to one’s well-being and assisting in providing their needs are significant acts of service that I feel especially inclined to fulfill.
With five years of babysitting experience and one year of camp counseling experience, I’ve seen, firsthand, the curiosity that children have in their development. When you administer daily tasks toward a child’s prosperity, they’ll begin to take notice of the internal/external benefits that come as a result of simply caring for oneself, furthering their self-worth. This is one of the main reasons I love working with children – they are mirrors, if you care for them, they’ll subconsciously make it a habit to care for themselves throughout their future.
