Hi families! My name is Madeleine Menkes, and I’m a recent graduate of Duke University. Growing up as an only child, I’ve always enjoyed spending time with children. I started babysitting during my freshman year of high school, took a babysitting course with Johns Hopkins, and became CPR certified. I find it incredibly rewarding to watch kids discover their passions, what makes them smile, ask questions, and most importantly, what makes them laugh.

At Duke, I majored in Cultural Anthropology, which involves understanding people in various environments and backgrounds. This has equipped me with excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with people of all ages. During my time at Duke, I held multiple jobs, including working as a singer, for the Duke University Career Center, and as an engineer for a recording studio. Alongside these roles, I managed a busy schedule that included attending classes, working on a documentary, participating in music rehearsals, and attending club meetings.

This experience has honed my ability to balance multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines efficiently. I’m excited about the possibility of helping your family and providing the best care for your children!
