I work as an education reporter in New York City. I received my bachelor’s degree in political science and French at Barnard College and my master’s degree in magazine, newspaper and online journalism at Syracuse University. I babysat a 10-year-old girl and her 4-year-old sister throughout my four years of college from 2008 to 2012. I was responsible for picking them up from school on Fridays and taking them home and feeding and watching them as well as taking them to a dance class in which the 10-year-old was participating. I also babysat my neighbor’s 6-year-old daughter at the age of 16 for one summer. I have watched my brothers and my cousins as well. I am a friendly person who loves kids and knows how to entertain them but also instill in them the importance of hard work and doing well in school.
