Hi! My name is Melissa Meaker and I have been working with children for the last 18 years on and off.
Even though I am personally an only child, both of my parents come from families of 7 children so I grew up with a lot of cousins and babies around and love kids!
The majority of my experience is with 4-12 year olds but I have had families with younger and older children. My favorite ages are 9months and 5-8 year olds, they are just so fun! I pride myself on being very present while I’m with my nanny family. I like to be involved, I am not someone who tries to just stick an iPad in front of kids, I prefer coming up with activities and enjoy going outside to keep the children engaged.
My personal interests include, cooking, baking, painting, reading, exercising, and going to museums.
I’m certified in CPR and first aid and am confident in my abilities to step up if need be. I truly love and respect children and understand they’re just little people with big feelings and I hold myself to a high standard of always providing the grace, patience, and nurturing they need and deserve.
