Hi my name is Tatiana and I just recently graduated with my masters degree from The New School. After college I took a gap year where I was a paraprofessional for middle school students with special needs and was also a 1 on 1 with a student because I had my CPR certification. I loved working with the students on their progress and tailoring it specifically to their pace. Watching them make themselves proud after helping them with their work was so rewarding and special to me. Currently I work at a non profit located in Harlem called Behind the Book where we encourage students to read and write for fun. I work with classes of all ages from Kindergarten to high school. I love creating good relationships with my classes and seeing them bond with each other more. I love working with kids because their energy is contagious! I can be fairly strict, but my emphasis is having a good balance between the two.
