I’m currently caring for a non-verbal autistic boy in the morning. My daily a.m. schedule (7:00-10:00a.m.) includes meal preperation, transportation, and life skills including physical and mental activities to inhance his daily life. My best attributes in this situation are my patience, persistence, and sense of caring for the situation for the young boy. My previous experience (15years) was assisting in the afternoon care of a family of seven children which involved transportation, food preperation (snacks), and homework help. My interest outside of working with autism is coaching. For the past 21 years I’ve coached 10-18-year-old girls in travel softball, a year round endeavor which allows me to deal with multiple personalities but still with the same goal of maximizing the players’ potential.
