My name is Abigail, and I teach Pre-K at a Quaker school in Philadelphia. Over the summer, I’m hoping to find some new small friends to help out in West Philly! I love writing poetry and stories; quilting, natural dyeing, knitting, and other fiber arts; reading books; putting on plays; speaking French; gardening; cooking and baking; and making anything with my hands! Before teaching Pre-K (4-5 years old) full time, I worked in arts-based After School programs serving children aged 6 to 10 years, so I am comfortable working with a wide variety of ages. I believe in leading with kindness and I understand childcare as at its heart community care. I believe that this should go without saying, but I am very LGBTQ+ friendly. Hoping to find some new small West Philly friends this summer!
