Hello Im Destini, a dedicated and nurturing creative with over 15 years of experience caring for children of all ages. I believe in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that fosters learning and creativity.
I have a professional and educational background in theater, social sciences, culturally competent education and tutoring. Currently, I juggle a couple different jobs in afterschool and/or camp programs in the Philly area. As such, I am well with a large number of kids and have a knack for meeting them where they are.
Im passionate about promoting physical activity (my theater background includes circus!), imaginative play, and educational activities that encourage kids to embrace their innate creativity. I love organizing outings, crafts, and age-appropriate games that stimulate not just physical, but also emotional and social growth and development.
As a caregiver, I prioritize open communication with parents to ensure a seamless experience. I am also well-versed in meal/snack preparation and dietary needs, light housekeeping, and homework assistance.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching tv, yoga and pilates, and playing with my cat, 2-year old Kujo. Im always looking for new ways to connect with kids and support their individual interests, making sure they feel encouraged and empowered.
