Hello! My name is Emily. I am currently in school for occupational therapy. I have been babysitting ever since I was a teenager. I worked a summer in a daycare in 2018 in the infant room, where the lead teacher and I cared for up to 8 infants at a time! I also spent a gap year from 2020 to 2021 as the full-time nanny for my nephew from age 9 weeks to 1 year. During my time in school, I interned full-time for 12 weeks at a school for early intervention, where I sustained a caseload of 30 kids all 3-5 years old with diagnoses of autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental delays. My current final year in occupational therapy school is a research year in which I am working with kids with Down syndrome of all ages. I continue to enjoy babysitting and nannying when I am not in school. I’m creative and goofy and love to come up with silly games to make kids laugh. My favorite thing about kids is how smart they are and how they give us older folks a different perspective on the world!
