Hi families/everyone! My name is Gia and I am 19 years old and a sophomore at Community College Of Philadelphia studying to become a child life specialist! I love working and spending time with children. I love getting to know them and their likes and dislikes. Activities I enjoy doing with children are board games, hide and seek, Simon says, scavenger hunts, freeze dance, reading and arts and crafts like, paintings drawing, bracelet making and building. I am a camp counselor every summer at an overnight camp for three weeks with 5-15 kids ages 6-10. I have also been a baby sitter multiple times and I have worked as a student teacher at SPIN, a classroom with special needs children. I helped them do work as in different assignments , take walks, eat, take naps and helped them get ready to go home at the end of the day. My favorite nanny moments have been when I am sitting with the child and we are having a good laugh. I feel as though laughing is one of the most joyful things you can do especially as a child.The most important part about being a nanny is making sure you can be there for the child both physically and emotionally and making sure that they are having fun while feeling safe around you.
