Hi! I am a nursing student at the University of Pennsylvania with 3 years of paid child care experience but a lifetime of taking care of my younger sibling who is now 13 (they grow up so fast!). I worked for 2 years with a family that had a 4 year old boy and 2 year old girl before leaving Maryland for school. I also cared for two 9 year olds and one 6 year old for a summer while they were home from school. One thing that is very important for me as a babysitter, especially for toddler and elementary aged children, is making learning fun. In the 2 years that I worked with the family with two wonderful toddlers, I was so proud of my 4 year old buddy for being able to learn all of his ABCs and numbers to 40 through leapfrog ABC factory videos from the library, children’s’ books, and counting activities that we came up with together. I love babysitting and am excited to begin doing it again while completing my Bachelors in Nursing.
