My childcare experience started when I was 15 and worked as a surf instructor for kids, which was a challenging balance of following strict rules for safety in the water and outdoors, but also ensuring that kids had a ton of fun and joy (ages 5-15) I have also worked as an overnight weekly camp counselor in the bunk (for 5th graders) as well as a summer day camp counselor for special needs children and teens (ages 5 to 20).
