I am born and raised in Philadelphia, and currently, I am attending school in Washington DC. I was a Girl Scout for my entire life. Throughout my time in our local chapter, I volunteered to assist younger troops (ages 4-9) for two years. I planned activities, crafts, and events for 20+ children. I love arts and crafts, especially painting and sculpting. I mediated several conflicts between my girls while also ensuring the health and safety of the rest of the children, so I knwo how to deal with difficult disagreements. In addition to Girl Scouts, I was also a summer school teacher for grades 2-6. I taught literature, reading comprehension, ESL, and mathematics courses for 12 weeks. I managed a classroom between 8-20 students. I planned and presented each lesson on my own. In a non-professional capacity, I look after my young cousins and their pets occasionally while in DC.

For pets, I look after a senior dog occasionally. He is a small Maltese-Yorkie, but I am comfortable with dogs of any size. I can walk, feed, play, and clean with dogs and cats.

I have been tutoring in various subjects since I was 14, and I have been cooking even longer! I enjoy cooking and baking cuisines from different cultures – my favorite dish is a veggie packed Mac and Cheese. In addition to cooking and tutoring, I can do laundry, daily and deep cleans, organizing, and run any errands.

I am in the process of getting FirstAid and CPR certified, and I am background checked through UrbanSitters.
