Hello all! I usually go by the name Poppy; Im a university student currently studying screenwriting. Ive been babysitting since 2016 (and before that, I was a mothers helper)! I have thousands of hours of childcare experience and have worked with children as young as four months and as old as thirteen.

Working with children brings me genuine joy and its something Ive been missing since deciding to dedicate myself to my full-time studies. I pride myself on being the kind of babysitter who respects, legitimately engages with, and forms meaningful relationships with the children I work with. I consider my caregiving style to be playful and empathetic, but still firm. Parents that Ive worked with in the past have told me that I made their usually shy child feel comfortable and come out of their shell.

In my personal life, Im a very creative and outdoorsy person and I love being able to share these passions with children. This translates into building fairy houses, hiking, collaging, making home-movies, scavenger hunts in the park, molding monsters out of air dry clay and so much more. Ive worked with multiple households that were either screen-free or screen-limited and am confident in my ability to entertain your child without the use of technology.

I have experience working with neurodivergent children with diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD and PANDAS. Ive also worked with children with diabetes, celiac disease and other specific dietary needs. Im comfortable with cooking for (or with!) your children, have a drivers license and am capable of doing light household work. Im comfortable with most pets, however I prefer to avoid large dogs.

Rate: $22/hour – $27/hour
