Hi families! My name is Stephanie and I’m an early childhood arts educator and caregiver based in West Philly!

I have 4 years of teaching and program and curriculum creation/implementation experience in a primary Montessori environment and 10 years of professional caregiving experience! As a caregiver, Ive cared for children from infancy through school age, including caring for siblings and multiple children in nanny shares. In 2015, I graduated from Temple University with a BA in Theater and particularly love cultivating a love of arts with children! I also love exploring the city, spending time outside and working on Montessori-centered art, cooking and sensory projects utilizing household items and materials with children in my care! I’m a big believer in creating a stimulating and active environment that encourages a sense of independence, empowerment, empathy through social-emotional exploration, creativity and of course, fun!

As a teacher, I began my time in a local Montessori school as an Assistant Camp Counselor and three out of four summers, served as Camp Director where I planned camp theme and created original, daily works and lessons that rotated weekly to correspond with the changing weekly sub-theme! After my first summer of work there, I was offered a new role they had very kindly created for me as Assistant Teacher in the Extended Day program. Each year of my teaching, I was promoted to new roles with increased responsibility, becoming Co-Lead Teacher and eventually Lead Teacher in the Extended Day program. In these roles, I created original Theater, Art, STEM, Cooking and Movement lessons and presented to children!

I have the following:
-all current PA State clearances
-CPR certification and First Aid training
-am fully vaccinated/up to date on boosters and am Covid cautious
-Valid PA State Drivers License
-Several references and formal resume available upon request!

I get a lot of satisfaction from watching children meet new milestones and surprise themselves with new passions and skills—it’s truly my honor to help guide them along the way!

Thank you very much and looking forward to learning more about your family.
