I am the oldest of 3 children, so I have basically grown up taking care of and being around my younger siblings for my whole life. One moment that has really stood out to me is when I was running this extended day service at my old school. For context, I have grown up playing soccer so I love playing it whenever I can and just talking about it. This one day, I was playing soccer with the kids and I could see them really getting into it. The next day, when one of the kids dads came to pick him up, he came to thank me for introducing the sport to him because he became really excited and wanted to play too. Then, a few months later I was refereeing a rec soccer game and it turned out that the father was the coach and the kid was playing. He came to personally thank me and Ive kept that memory ever since. I think it is so rewarding working with children because you can see yourself make a positive difference and effect in their lives
