I almost the entirety of my childhood, from age 6 weeks to 11 years, in a daycare center with 13 other kids and only one babysitter watching us. It was essentially the responsibility of the older kids to care for the younger ones. Following that I babysat a family of three boys (whose ages spanned 9 years) all through high school, and once I got to college I became a paramedic where I was able to care for children in emergency situations. Because of my past experience I’m able to handle everything that could go right or wrong, from the benign to the extreme.
