I have been working for the past 8 years as a substitute teacher in 3 different local Pittsburgh school districts. I am certified to teach English for grades 7-12, and also any subject in grades 4, 5, and 6. I have a Master’s degree from Duquesne University. I have worked with children in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Additionally, I teach Sunday school for students in grades 4-6, and volunteer for a youth program in our church for children in K-3rd grade.
I am looking to find a private family who needs support for their children who may be on a hybrid learning program or doing instruction fully remote due to COVID-19. It can be difficult to provide academic help to your children while working full-time, and that is where I can help! I can also help your children with time management, study skills, test preparation strategies, and organizational skills.
I am available for the academic year, from the end of August through the end of June.
Areas that I’m willing to travel to: Bridgeville, Carnegie, Greentree, Crafton, Ingram. I am also available to provide academic support online through Skype.
I have been practicing social distancing and very cautious about COVID-19. I take the precautions very seriously. I always wear a mask when leaving my home and avoid all large gatherings. So, I would be wearing a mask at all times while in your home and would like to respectfully ask your children to do the same in the interest of everyone’s safety.
