My name is Sammi and I am currently a senior at the University of Pittsburgh. I have two younger sibling and I grew up babysitting them when I was younger. When I enrolled at the university, I volunteered with AmeriCorps: JumpStart Program where my team and I would visit a local preschool. Through the program, I would provide individualized attention and helped develop adult to children relationships to prepare children for further education in low- income families. I would often read and write with preschoolers while helping the teacher in any way I can!
