Write a messageI’m Zev! I’m a senior at NYU, and live in Manhattan. While finishing my degree, I’m working as a tutor in the New York City Public school system – I mostly work with kids between 5 and 10, but am comfortable with any age range. I feel this experience has taught me a lot about how to engage with children, and what they need and appreciate from their caretakers. I work and live in Florence Nightingale Elementary in the Lower East Side, and can travel wherever in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Jersey, Staten Island and the Bronx.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, I had lots of experience in high school babysitting and looking after the kids around my neighborhood. I feel that I’m responsible and professional, I have many years in the food service and retail industry that prepared me to handle situations calmly and problem solve well. I love the arts – I’m a dance student, and I love helping the kids I’m watching to express their artistic sides. My most extensive job with babysitting was watching a 1st grader while he did online school during covid, so I’m very comfortable with helping kids with any schoolwork they might have.
Because of my job as a tutor, I have completed and been cleared to work with children by the New York City Department of Education.
