Hi, I’m Shelby! I am a former teacher with nearly a decade of experience working in Early Childhood Education. I have a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s in Child Development (both from Ohio State). I have worked in private school (Columbus School for Girls), public school (Columbus City Schools), and a variety of child care settings, including the OSU Child Care Program. I have additional experience with babysitting for families as well. I currently operate an in-home child care program where I serve ages 12 months and up. Through my child care program, I can offer full-time, part-time, or drop-in care. I am First Aid/CPR certified, am in the process of completing supplemental fingerprinting (BCI/FBI background check) in addition to the background checks through Sitter City. My child care experiences include play-based learning, nature-driven experiences, and an approach inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies of Early Childhood Education.
