I grew up around children because of having lots of cousins so that started my love for caring for children. In high school I decided to take child education courses which also acted as a day care. Then in my early 20s I was a part time nanny while getting my associates degree online and also an admin assistant part time. This family I still am in contact with and she is my reference, Valerie, 3 girls. Eventually I found a job more full time and directly related to my degree at a residential facility for special needs young teens. I helped with their daily routines as well as to and from their school, homework, therapy activities, etc. I did decide to leave as I found it better to work 1:1. I went back to admin work for awhile and kind of went back and forth whenever I would find a family I really connected with. There were a total of 4 families I worked with during my mid 20s and 1 of them I am still in contact with and they are great friends of my husband and I, 2nd reference Christina. The other families I ended up losing contact over the years because mostly I didn’t think I’d ever return to work. The only reason I didn’t stay with any of the families was just financial situations changed for them or me. I did get back into admin work again one last time because I found a boss I really loved and what I was doing. It was supposed to be temp to hire but unfortunately they ended up in a hiring freeze and then had to layoff a lot of people. I have only had 1 other job since and as a nanny but I got sick really bad and they just really needed to replace me as I was down for months with mono. We did unfortunately lose contact.

A little about me; I am 30yrs old. I got married in October 2019. We have 2 dogs. We love movies and video games. We’d also like to travel someday; art, history, and architecture (and food) are very special to us. I love arts & crafts, reading, walking and park time, board games, all kinds of puzzles. I do have an autoimmune disease that causes me pain every day, but I manage it with routine stretches, exercises, diet, and medications (none of which alter my ability to function normally in any way.) Please feel free to ask me anything about it.

Also, I do not mind tidying up because to me it comes naturally (cleaning dishes we used, putting toys/crafts away). Cooking is also a hobby of mine so I don’t mind helping prep or making meals for the kids, as I love it. Also, I do not mind pick up/drop off, and running errands.
