As a teenager I spent my summers at the jersey shore as a mothers helper both on the beach and at home. I assisted with meal prepping, activity planning, playground and beach observation. In my early 20’s I was a full time nanny for three children ages 5-1.5. With them I was in charge of school preparation, breakfast routine, driving to and from school (on select days), lunchtime, light housekeeping, nap routine, learning activities, timely diaper change, dinner preparation. On occasion I worked split shifts in order to be there in the evening. On those days I handled medications (if applicable), bathes, and bedtimes. I currently volunteer with a special needs play program where I work with adults and children with developmental disabilities. I assist with transport, safely navigating the buildings, feedings, activities, and the occasional crisis management.
