I am 21 years old, oldest of 6 children so I have years of experience. I am known as the family babysitter in my huge family. I started working in an after school program at 15 and then became a summer camp counselor for the same program. Since then Ive worked as a camp counselor every summer and continued working in after school programs. As I got older I wanted a more stable job so I became a community organizer and youth coordinator at a non for profit organization where I mentored youth, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes along with organizing and promoting interest in recreational activities such as arts, crafts, sports, games, camping, and hobbies for youth. Working with kids just became a passion for me so I created my own organization where I raise money for unfortunate youth in my community to organize different projects for them. With that being said, I furthered my career in Social Work at Kingsborough Community College. Unfortunately I graduated during the pandemic so online school wasnt working for me. I then picked up a trade as a Medical Assistant and continued my internship in a pediatric office. I truly enjoy working with kids, I feel like sometimes kids just need someone to relate to and I love being that person for them, like a big sister. My passion for children sets me apart from the others because I genuinely like to do it and I never see it as just a job or a check
