Swift Elementary - YMCA of Arlington

Pre-K offers children excellent opportunities to discover explore and make new friends. It is a wonderful place for children to have hands-on learning experiences in reading writing science and math. In Pre-K children have the opportunity to grow both academically and socially. Students are offered a variety of learning experiences through the use of our Scholastic and Frog Street Press and Everyday Math curriculums. These curriculums are supplemented by learning activities centered on a variety of themes to enhance children’s understanding of the world around them. Our class schedules include reading of books rhymes poetry singing songs outdoor or large motor play art literacy group activities free play in learning centers math science phonological awareness and oral language activities.
