We serve families with young children from two years through Transitional Kindergarten. As such we incorporate a teaching philosophy that recognizes a child’s desire to learn while having fun. We use curriculum based on materials from ABeka, as well as Simply Phonics™, the latter designed by our founder, Florence Gause.
As a “pre-school” and pre-kindergarten environment, our academic goals are to prepare our children for reading and math readiness, to enter the kindergarten classroom fully prepared. Our children are taught new material at each age level, progressing steadily at their own pace, using age appropriate activities to enhance each child’s development.
Teachers plan a daily variety of activities providing the fundamental skills each child will build upon as he grows. These include counting and sorting, exploring the alphabet and letter sounds, paging through picture books, singing rhyming songs, learning category and sequence, shapes and patterns, and putting together puzzles.
Our classrooms include craft areas, dramatic play, book corners, blocks, puzzles, and lots of other activities to spark your child’s curiosity and socialization.
