Welcome to the Early Childhood Program at Stone Ridge!
As a division of the Lower School, the Early Childhood Program provides a strong social, emotional, and academic foundation for our youngest learners at Stone Ridge. In keeping with the philosophy of the School, the Early Childhood Program is focused on the development of the whole person. By incorporating the five Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart education, the program provides the first exposure to a Sacred Heart education for boys and girls from three months to four years of age. We provide the building blocks for a lifetime of learning based on faith, intellect, service, community, and growth.
The program encompasses an Infant/Toddler Program and a Preschool. The children are exposed to rich Sacred Heart traditions and participate in many of the Schools special feast days and celebrations. The Preschool students participate in music, French, and physical education classes. The Infants and Toddlers have age appropriate classes with the Lower School French teacher and art teacher.

We believe young children learn best through play, hands on activities, and rich interpersonal relationships. The children are encouraged to explore, interact, imagine, create, and solve problems. The Early Childhood Program at Stone Ridge teaches an integrated, theme-based curriculum that is designed to enhance cognitive, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social growth at developmentally appropriate levels. Above all, the program provides a safe, loving, creative, and stimulating environment and nurtures a love of learning.
