Good Shepherd Pre-K is the youngest class at Good Shepherd Catholic School, on a quiet side street in Beverly Hills, a few blocks from our church. The preschool is located in a separate building and has its own front yard. The elementary school has been open since 1930. The pre-k program opened October 5, 2006. Our pre-k curriculum consists of age appropriate activities that will help the students develop spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. The curriculum incorporates monthly themes and exposes students to academic subject matter aligned with the California Learning foundations for pre-k aged children. Our diverse program will help instill an interest in learning and encourage the children to maintain their curiosity and learn through exploring as we prepare them for their school experience. It is through play that a child learns important social and problem solving skills. We are a Catholic school and religion is incorporated throughout the program. Bible stories are compared to real life situations and we have age appropriate discussions around the stories. We pray to our Guardian Angel and thank God for the food we eat daily.
