El Descanso Elementary School is a PreK-5 school located at 1099 Bedford Drive in Camarillo (Map | School Layout). El Descanso provides a strong academic program in a warm community environment. Our program promotes a positive self image and social concept in an atmosphere which encourages high academic achievement . Our highly trained staff of teachers and support personnel offer a rich learning experience to all students. Our library is well stocked with exciting books and resources for students, staff and parents. Every classroom has computers that have access to the Internet and instructional programs. Additionally, the school has a full computer lab with a Smart Board that classes visit regularly. Our Parent-Teacher Association provides immeasurable support to our school as do all our parent and community volunteers. Please join them!! All in all, El Descanso is the best place to be!
