Kids Korner – “After School and Full Time Summer Child Care Program for Children Kindergarten Through Sixth Grade.”

Located at 101 N. Glenview, adjacent to Turley Park, Kids Korner is a state of Illinois licensed after school and full day childcare, offered during summer months and on most public school breaks, center. Programs offered are structured yet very relaxed and recreational in nature. A snack is served each afternoon. Two snacks and a nutritious lunch are served when the program is in session all day. During the school year, Carbondale School District 95 and St. Andrews Catholic School provides bus drop off at Kids Korner. Kids Korner staff facilitates a variety of “club” offerings such as “Cook-a-munga”, and the team sport oriented “Just for Kix”. Swimming lessons are also offered through Kids Korner periodically throughout the school year at the LIFE Community Center’s indoor heated pool. During summer, participants are offered weekly field trips to a variety of regional locations including swimming at Dixon Springs State Park, roller-skating in Herrin, swimming at Cedar Lake, and the Craft Shop at the SIU Student Center.
