Memorials Children’s Services is committed to meeting the needs of children and working families by providing quality care, educational opportunities, and needed intervention to ensure our children are prepared for kindergarten and to ensure childrens academic and social success. Realizing the crucial importance of early childhood experiences, Memorials philosophy is that each child is an individual with his and her own special abilities, strengths, and differences.
Play is at the heart of the Memorial Early Childhood Education experience! Providing opportunities for children to engage their minds, bodies, and emotions in intentional play, Memorials teaching staff understand the importance of choice, opportunity, and gentle guidance in early childhood development.
All Lead Teachers are degreed in Education or hold certifications in the Early Childhood Education Field. Our teachers have varying lengths of service in the Early Childhood Education Field and all engage in continuing education annually. We are committed to providing quality care to children and our FEI location has been NAEYC accredited since 2006.
Our Mansfield Site is located at 1607 Mansfield Street on Liberty Hill and serves children 18 months to 12 years. At Mansfield, 90% of our families qualify for subsidized tuition through Block Grants and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) dollars.The goal of our Early Childhood Program is to prepare children for kindergarten and ensure their academic and social success. We also operate an after school program for children ages 5 to 12 years old and a summer day camp at this site. The goal of our School Age Program is to provide a safe, fun, learning environment for children while their parents work.
