Welcome to Mockingbird Elementary a TEA exemplary campus where we are celebrating Twenty Years of ExcellenceMaverick Style! We have 560 of the best and brightest learners in the state of Texas. Built in 1991 we are taking this opportunity to reflect on our past achievements as we anticipate our incredible future.

Mockingbird Elementary is a student-centered campus with high academic expectations for every child. We have a phenomenal staff of lifelong learners that continually strive to determine how best to meet the needs of every student using research-based instructional strategies a variety of assessment tools and professional learning communities to remain abreast of current educational practices. With a focus on Project Based Learning (PBL) and differentiated instruction in the classroom teachers create innovative lessons to meet the needs of individual learners in the 21st Century. Our goal is for every child to be successful academically and socially through a nurturing supportive environment.
