Daddy Mom Daycare

Daddy Mom Childcare and Learning Centeralso known as Daddy Mom Daycareis a non-profit child care center that provides affordable quality childcare to the southwest Denver community. Daddy Mom founders Laura and Chris Gonzales strive for excellence in the operation of their center. The childcare industry has changed drastically in the last 9 years; its no longer about babysitting its about curriculum, development, age-appropriate play and stimulating environments. Laura and Chris realize this and, as such, strive to provide an experienced quality program that prepares children for kindergarten. The length of their waiting list attests to their success in meeting this goal. As a member of the Denver Preschool Program, Daddy Mom was also recognized as a 2009 winner of the DPP Innovation Award.

Along with preschool, childcare and after-school programs, Daddy Mom serves as a community center offering several services to their neighborhood. Their administration office supports unemployed community members in job searches, resume preparation, bus pass acquisition, and computer classes and provides access to e-mail, fax and copy machines. Daddy Mom is also a partner with Food Bank of the Rockies, offering monthly food boxes to their community members. Chris and Laura feel blessed to be a part of each and every life that comes across their threshold and have faith that God has put the right people in their path to help raise children, to listen to their community, and to be the lighthouse of hope on the block.
