Birchwood School

The Birchwood School is a small community of dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and inquisitive students. As a result, we are able to work together to address the needs of our students as they grow and develop. Our role is to cultivate and nurture a love of learning, a quest for knowledge, and an understanding of the important contributions each student makes.

As a foundation for learning, we at Birchwood are committed to creating a positive climate in which academic and social growth may thrive. A supportive safe school is a critical piece of a students development one which shapes a positive self-esteem, while building academic success. Our focus at Birchwood is to develop and strengthen critical thinking, problem solving, and reasoning skills, as these apply to every aspect of a students life both in and out of the classroom. Our goal, as a school community, is to continue to reinforce in our students a respect for self and others, a capacity to see the many sides of a given issue, and an ability to make sound choices. Promoting these ideals will best prepare our students for any and all challenges, as they continue through their educational experiences.
