At Montessori Unlimited, unique learning tools, just the right amount of guidance, plenty of independence, and lots of social interaction all feed into the trademark Montessori self-directed educational process. We offer a unique way to learn. The personal interests of each child are embraced, celebrated, and nurtured. At Montessori Unlimited, self-direction and self-discipline lead to self-discovery. In our schools, tangible experiences are designed to stimulate each child’s curiosity and provide an optimum learning experience. Children work at their own pace and choose their own activities. They work alone or in groups, when older children share knowledge and get younger children excited about learning. Encouraging children to work together, with each others’ best interests in mind, builds social skills and challenges them to learn. Our method is sound. Our goal is simple: Helping your child prepare for the future.

At The Children’s Courtyard, we’re inspired by the HighScope educational philosophy. Children’s interests and choices are the foundation of this approach. Teachers challenge and expand children’s thinking with diverse materials and nurturing interactions. In all our programs, children engage in active learning—direct, hands-on experiences with people, materials, and ideas. With the HighScope philosophy, children are working toward four specific goals:

1. To learn through active involvement with people, materials, events, and ideas.
2. To become responsible and confident—ready for school and ready for life.
3. To learn to plan many of their own activities, carry them out, and talk with others about what they have done and what they have learned.
4. To gain knowledge and skills in important academic, social, and physical areas.

In order to meet these goals, children participate in a robust Plan-Do-Review process that promotes problem-solving and critical thinking skills. We provide a strong focus on early literacy, social understanding, physical coordination, creativity, and positive character traits.

The Children’s Courtyard also knows education is not a one-size-fits-all experience. That’s why we created the School Readiness Pathway, to provide parents with educational options and choices. The Pathway is designed to empower you to find the best path for your child.
