SCHOOL AGE-EXEMPT –
Thomas Edison Elementary opened its doors in the fall of 1960. It is one of six elementary schools within the Fraser Public School district. Edison serves approximately 440 students from Developmental Kindergarten thru 6th grade. Our principal Dr. Kristi Weiss along with a teaching staff of 30 a secretary a library media assistant a computer lab assistant along with many parent volunteers offer a well-rounded educational experience for many children. Other components that enhance a childs learning include special subjects such as Art Physical Education Music Band L.E.A.P. (Literacy Enhancement Activities Program and H.E.A.R.T(Health Education Awareness Training). Other support personnel include a school psychologist speech and language therapist reading consultant social worker special education and a Title 1 teacher all contributing to a childs environment of learning. Edison also offers a latchkey program before and after school. We all believe that Edison is an environment of learning and caring.
