BTHCCD believes that children are very special members of our society. The early experiences that children have will greatly influence the kinds of experiences they will make for themselves as adults – thus each child needs to be exposed to as many positive learning experiences as possible in everyday living and in their education.

The adults in their lives need to be the kind of role models that guide and direct them to become loving caring compassionate responsible and constructive people. The adults must teach both from positive and negative experiences creating positive results even when negative experiences exist to teach the child how to intelligently cope in a realistic world.

A child’s first teachers are his/her parents and family. As the child ventures forth from home into school; the teachers must unite with the family to provide a loving high quality educational and everyday living environment and experience. Family community and school members have extensive responsibilities in meeting the holistic needs of each individual child and must always work together as a “family unit” to insure that the child has every advantage to grow and develop to his/her highest potential emotionally physically intellectually socially and spiritually.
