Kathleen Preschool is pleased to announce the beginning of the another year of the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program for the 2009-2010 school year. The preschool academy is a unique program that allows Kathleen High School Early Childhood Education students to work with our Preschool Academy. Upon your child being accepted to the program they will attain maximum kindergarten readiness. Your child will also be exposed to the unique learning environment of Kathleen High School.

The program is a unique opportunity for Kathleen Senior High School students interested in
education to have hands on experience with young children. The Academy is designed to meet
the developmental goals of children four to five. To teach high school students to learn
work and provide experiences that enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive language social
emotional and creative development. Each student is to serve as a positive role model and
provide care that is supportative nurturing warm and responsive to each child’s individual
needs. “We have an open door policy”you are welcome anytime.
The students create opportunities for the children to explore problem solve and develop
interpersonal skills. The Culinary Arts department provides breakfast lunch and a p.m.
snack.
The program will provide a safe atmosphere and environment where the students parents
teachers and children worktogether to developsuccess in learning.
